747 Upper Class and T60 Seat Allocation

I just have a couple of questions, heading to Miami in September and on the 747 for the flights! It has been some time since found myself on a Virgin 747 but really looking forward to it as always prefered to UC layout.

From memory I always remember thinking the lower desk front 2 seats while great if you want to chat were a bit shorter when made into beds or less shoulder room, but not sure if this is accurate or just me getting mixed up with another airline.

Second question is the T60 seat allocation, havent been bothered with seat allocation when not flying the 747 but wondered does it open T60 from the time of the flight or day of the flight?

I've never heard of anyone complaining that the front 2 seats in UC in the nose of the 747 are less roomy than the others.

Seat requests open at 8am UK time on T-60. The seat map may become available several hours before that but you'll just get an error message if you try to select seats before 8am.

I always try and bag the front two seats and I'm not aware of any restrictions. It appears to be exactly the same as any other just less room between the seats and of course no overhead lockers.
And best of all, no one moving around you on a night flight.
