Hi everyone.

Having finally secured two G fares (upgraded M's) and looking forward to our first UC experience, can anyone tell me whether the VS200/201 (assuming it's an A340-600) operates the Snooze Zone policy of limiting food times etc?

I know both flights are night flights, but I don't want me and my partner to end up on the wrong side of the magic curtain if it's going to stop us enjoying our trip and the whole UC experience. That said, does anyone have any favourite seats to pick on this flight for a couple? I gather no two seats are ideal for a conversation as there are the dividers but any other top tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all your knowledge - we wouldn't have got these great seats without your collective wisdom and help.

Mr G.

Given the duration of the flight, there won't be a snooze zone on this route. The snooze zones are usually found on the 'shorter' long haul night flights that are among the latest to leave the origin airports. They are designed to cater to people that literally wish to board and head straight to bed to be fresh for that early morning meeting - been there, not fun n(

Why is the VS56 on that list..... didn't that used to be the IAD flight? VS website on form again :P

For this route I would suggest 8 and 9a if on an A346 - mid cabin so you don't miss anything, you are not facing anyones' feet and you have the added benefit of a wardrobe right next to you for a good amount of stowage space that is easily accessible.

As said above Snooze zone never used as its a red eye type flight.
Done this route many times the normal run off events is after late take off (22:30 ex LHR & 23:25 ex HKG)they take do drinks run and take dinner orders. Would estimate circa 1/3rd of pax skip meal and head to sleep. Once dinner complete they usually dim the lights. As its 11 hour plus flight the lights are dimmed for 6 plus hours. Few hours before landing on both flights breakfast is provided albeit for HKG arrival its actually midafternoon local time.
The bar is rarely used by Pax apart from early wakers who are usually sipping there juice prior to breakfast being served.
A good flight in one can get lots of sleep so long as not too much turbulence. Normally lands 30 mins early in HKG and sometimes early into LHR albeit one morning we were so early LHR was not even open so had to slow down over Europe.
Only unusual thing about this flight is it always 30 mins plus before seat belt signs off especially VS201 whilst other flights I have done ex HKG are nearer 15-20. Not a problem more an observation.

Also done this route many of times, no snooze zone as Joeyc and Paulreg have said above, lets hope we are not on the same flight as we will be fighting for seat 9a ):

A346 is also a great aircraft so good luck and enjoy
