Is it necessary to complete this online or can it be done at check in? Maybe a stupid question but which option do I press if we're just visiting relatives and returning home ? Thanks

API needs to have been completed at least 72 hours before departure.

I would presume that if your relatives live in the US you would enter "Staying in the US" and then add their address in the relavant box

I've just checked the manage your booking on virgin site and it says SFPD detailed entered....does this mean it's done? It says change details in red beside.

I've done it again anyway just to be sure. Roll on next Saturday

I presume you have also applied for and had your ESTA application approved for travel to the U.S. as well?

i still shudder at the memory of my first usa flight after esta was introduced, forgot all about it, no reminder from company travel agent, fortunately remembered two days before the flight
