Hey all,

Flying to HKG in UC tonight. Thinking on eating in the lounge, sleeping when I get on board then getting up on Asian time 6 hours into the flight. So the question is, can I eat when I want on board or do I have to eat at set times?

In UC you can eat when you want, not sure though if any time dining is from a restricted menu as I never taken advantage of the facility.

Have a good flight.

You'll miss the main dinner service but there's a Graze snack menu which you can select from whenever you like. In July it included a burger, lamb kofta kebab and cheese croquettes. They're quite small but you can always ask for more than one.

If they don't appeal, you could always ask if they'd prepare any of the main meals - not sure whether they would though. Plus there should be crisps, chocolate and fruit available at the bar.

Remember 90 minutes before landing you'll get breakfast (weird, given it'll be afternoon tea time in HKG!)

Did this flight a few weeks ago. The crew were great but the dinner service is a set service and the 'freedom' service is a thing of the past.

The nibbles are available anytime in the flight. My advise is to sleep as soon as you can and wake up and have breaky on board.

Apart from the small graze items, you can no longer eat when you want onboard. VS removed the "freedom" dining a while ago.
