I have been watching the fare for 2 passengers to fly UC to MCO in May next year. They have been showing as approx £2500 each for a while whilst BA Club World were priced at £1700 each in their sale.
I have never flown BA but was tempted to book yesterday given the price difference.
Luckily, because of my dithering, I didn't, as this morning Virgin have reduced their price to £1796!
The new price does not feature (that I can find) in the sale section on the Virgin site so thought I would post in case anyone else was looking for similar :)

You must keep as close an eye on prices as me!

I just booked our flights for January LGW-MCO-LGW :D

It's our first Upper Class trip and Junior's first ever flight so he's getting thoroughly spoilt as will SWMBO with the Clubhouse. Woohoo! I feel like we got an amazing deal going direct rather than with VH who wanted over £3000 more for fly-drive than I've ended up paying to book seperately.

BA were so close to stealing my allegiance but VS have fortunately got their act together at the last minute :) so happy I didn't lose my faith. The countdown begins!

Isn't there a BACW sale on? That could have forced VS's hand?

Op, you should also have a look at Dublin (and any of the other Eu airports) via Expedia.

Yes BA have a sale on. Have read as much as I can find on internet and the reviews seem to come down on the Virgin side so I am pleased that Virgin have reduced their prices to almost match BA.

We have flown with Virgin 5 times in the last 2 years in PE and UC and love it. Dithering pays off after all!

I have looked at Expedia and prices are similar.

Enjoy UC Dr, have the best of family times!

Thank you Rebe.

I've been checking for MAN-MCO-MAN for May 2015. Earlier in the week when I saw BA's sale, I checked VS again but no change.
Saw your post tonight and have now booked.

Makes up a little for having been pipped at the post for the seats I wanted at T-60 yesterday!

Great news Wraf137. Have a fabulous trip.
Hiljil hope you have a great flight too. I have only flown BA WT (many years ago to St Lucia) and would like to sample Club World one day.

My next mission is to secure cheap UC/PE seats for 8 adults into JFK leaving Orlando and 4 adults 2 kids in and out of MCO with the whole group leaving on the same flight back to LGW in October 15. The research and price watching is all part of the excitement!

I just had a quick peep at Expedia from Dub and it's coming in at £1200. Not bad at all……tempted……seriously tempted.

Dub is certainly an easy city for me to visit the day before without the hassle of suitcases…..

I have just done an expedia search for my holiday dates next year and it's offering £1898 per person from Dublin, stopping at Heathrow and next leg on from Gatwick in 4 hr 25 min.
Seriously not tempted by that one.

It's not really allegiance or loyalty if you only book when VS match or undercut BA, is it?

I was gobsmacked when I saw that yesterday Rebe. I saw the flights I wanted last week (LGW - MCO and then MCO - LHR) for £2,175. Then yesterday they were down to just over £1,700.

Anyway, a quick call to VS and I got the flights (including the credit card fee) for £845 and 45,000 miles.

What's more a further $218 snagged me a first class seat on Delta from MCO to BOS.

In other words, less than a grand all in! What an absolute result!
