So I'm one of the unlucky souls who have had their booking to Narita cancelled n(

I've been given the option of being booked onto a different airliner or a full refund.
I know this might sound like a stupid question but as this is a situation I've never dealt with before I hope you don't mind something that might seem like blind ignorance.
When they say 'full refund' does this mean that I will receive every single penny back that I originally paid for the tickets? Or I only receive a portion back due to the taxes?

Seems to me if you didn't fly, no taxes are payable., so taxed refunded as well.

If you want a refund press for them to refund the credit card fee as well !

Full refund, everything you paid. Would you please offer some more info about your situation? So far many V-flyers seem to be getting re-booked, even redemption. is there a reason you were not offered the same?

I was offered a re booking onto a BA flight which was around £230 cheaper then what I originally paid to fly with VA. However if I took that option I wouldn't of been refunded the difference between the cost of what I paid and what BA were offering.

I was also offered a full refund which I've decided to take and my question was whether I would receive all the money in full because I was unsure of whether I wouldn't get some money back due to the taxes.
No booking fee was charged as I paid by direct debit.

Ahhh ok all understood. thank you
Stupid thing that is still occurring. One can still book flights on the VS website LHR to NRT. Middle of Feb, Mar or April. All still with VS 900 and 901, but for 3.8k each way. Obviously they will then rebook any customers, and at that price they will make a profit. Is this normal practice after withdrawing a route?

Well it seems I've been charged a £30 administration fee on my refund. Surely I shouldn't be charged this if it was VS that cancelled the route and not me?

Ha ha ha, that's plain naughty. You'll have to get on the phone again.

No you, shouldn't be charged that. In this particular instance, I'd tweet them to get them to act quickly: it's a simple thing to fix, and it it's bad PR if they don't refund you the £30.

Gave them a quick call and I shouldn't of been charged that £30. So hopefully 3rd time lucky I will get my full refund.

Its been a huge kerfuffle this month. First I was refunded only £199 so called up to be refunded the Remaining £934 and now just waiting for the remaining £30...

When it's all done, probably worth dropping them a quick letter explaining what's happened.
