Just a quick query about how long it usually takes for claims for missing miles from partners to be addressed. I've had to do this once with SQ and Virgin responded to my e-mail query within three weeks, and the miles were credited within six weeks. I made a claim for a Delta flight in early-mid August and haven't received any confirmation of receipt of my e-mail from Virgin as of yet (it's now almost a month since I sent it). From searches it seems like six weeks is the golden number for credit, and I wondered if that was still the case. If anyone else has had to claim for a DL flight, what was your experience like? Thank you.

Just a quick update on this in case anyone else experiences similar. By yesterday (1st October) I'd still heard nothing, so took to Twitter to ask the VS staff what could be done. After hearing that I hadn't receiving the auto-confirm e-mail, Greg asked me to e-mail him so that he could direct it to the right place. Our missing 2446 miles and 1 TP each posted in less than 12 hours :) Thanks, Greg!

Earlier this year when the JV between VS and DL was newer, I took a few DL flights and had to phone them up in order to get the miles and pointts credited. They required the DL confirmation email to be forwarded to them. It only took them a few days, I'm not quite sure what happened in your case. Might have slipped through the cracks.

Since then, I haven't needed to call them as my DL flights have posted automatically.

Any idea as to why they didn't post originally, did you enter you VS FC # on the DL reservation?

I'm actually not sure what happened. We flew LHR > JFK > SAN. The flight through to JFK credited very quickly, but the miles for the flight to San Diego never appeared. I e-mailed and included the e-ticket and scans of our boarding passes to cover all the bases, but didn't receive the auto-confirm of receipt of my message. After contacting the social media crew the miles were credited very fast. I entered our FF numbers when booking, so I can only assume there are occasional hiccups when it comes to DL domestic connections?
