SFO clubhouse what time does it open

Hi all
I have tried a search but cannot find the answer. Travelling back on the VS20 next Friday and just wondering what time the clubhouse opens

It depends on which day you travel!!

Whilst the SFO Clubhouse is available from when VS check-in opens (so that's usually around 15:00 or 15:50 depending on the day of the week, it's 15:00 on Fridays if you have a 18:15 departure time), it also caters for VX pax in the afternoons which means it opens as early as 14:15 on certain days.

From the VX website:

Mon, Tue, Sat: 3:45 PM - 7:00 PM
Wed, Fri: 2:15 PM - 5:30 PM
Thurs, Sun: 2:45 PM - 6:05 PM

I cannot imagine for one minute that they would turn a VS pax away between 14:15 and 15:00.

Thanks James can we online/ kiosk check in before 3pm or can we go to the clubhouse and checkin once they open

Online check-in opens 24 hours before departure and you can print your own boarding pass, so as long as you've done that you can go straight through security whenever.

The issue is baggage - if you need to check any into the hold, you'll have to wait for the desks to open.

As the VS Clubhouse in Pre security you can go straight up with your bags provided you have printed your boarding passes or have loaded it to the Passbook App or Android equivalent if the check in desks haven't opened, then check your bags later.

Hope they don't change the SFO Clubhouse opening times (unless they open earlier) as Virgin have now changed the departure time of the VS20 for me from 17:30 to 18:05 and now to 19:05 since I booked.

Hopefully I can get a late check out of the hotel or I'm going to be sitting on my bags on the edge of the bay for a few hours on a Tuesday afternoon in January.

I usually get there ~ 3 hours before the flight, check in at the desks and head on up to usually watch the incoming VS19 arrive and head to the gate.
