My wife and I will be unexpectedly without the two little darlings (age 13) from tomorrow midday (Friday) until Sunday night. Can anyone suggest a medium/long haul adventure from midday-ish tomorrow until sunday night? Europe is relatively easy but is there something further away we might do? I've got 78,000 miles and could always buy a few more.

We're up for all-night visits and who knows what, but I HAVE to book this quickly. Give me your wildest suggestions (we don't have an outrageous budget though so not THAT wild please!).

V last minute but you could do LHR-JFK for £1500 in economy, or £500 plus 70,000 miles. Bit of a whistle stop tour though, you'd arrive in new york at 4pm today and leave at 7am on Sunday. Would be fun though!

New York springs straight to mind but as there isn't long maybe Europe might be the better option ? Eurostar to Brugge maybe or a third option and my favourite is stock up on food and drink , turn your mobiles off and enjoy the peace and quiet y)

personally I wouldn't use up a large part of a short break on flying a long haul.
Weather is a problem this weekend for much of the uk.
I would probably try to find a posh London hotel at a discount on Secret Escapes and go and take in a show and book some sort of spa treatment.

Well, if Bretty's suggestion is taken up, the outcome might be another set of twins! :|
