We booked our Cape Town flights in Aug 14, the return timings meant a 3 hr wait in T2 for the LR back to MAN. fine. But then Virgin brought the Cape Town flight forward 2 hrs meaning a scheduled arrival time of 6.55am into LHR and now a 5HR + wait for LR. I rang Virgin in NOV, they said there were no seats on the earlier VS3041. I rang again in DEC to see if the answer had changed - it hadn't - eventhough a dummy booking showed seats ??? It was suggested I ask the Virgin Desk in Cape Town to check again as we left. Lady at Virgin desk in airport rang (someone) and said there were not seats. We had also been told we could only have 2A and 3A on the LR as it was a busy flight.
To make matters worse our overnight flight VS604 arrived 40 minutes early !! so now we had 6 hrs to kill. So using previous great advice from the Forum we passed through T3 Customs, used Revivals for a shower and breakfast then walked to T2 and used the Aer Lingus lounge there.
on boarding LR we were told the earlier VS3041 only had 140 on board and same on our flight VS3047! and we weren't even seated together! Go Figure !! :?

You should complain about that, it sounded a bit weird when they said the flight was full even though most LR flights won't be full or they wouldn't be stopping the service. Basically the agents couldn't be bothered to do it!
