Just received a new marketing email extolling the virtues of "Take of from home"

"It's easy to get to many of the world's most spectacular destinations with Virgin Atlantic. And, because both Edinburgh and Glasgow airports are only a stone's throw away from your front door, you'll be up in the air and ready to relax in no time. "

I think this is the 1st time, Little Red has been directly marketed to FF's living close to EDI - "gate", "horse" and "bolted" spring to mind ii)

It also tells of the new LAS flights from GLA.

I assume that the slots have been formally surrendered ?|

Got the same one but with Manchester being on a stones throw away. I live about 110 miles from Manchester, so not quite accurate but still my closest VS base.

I wonder, just wonder, whether the decision to terminate LR is being reconsidered somewhere deep in Crawley Towers...

Probably fanciful, it's way too late for that...or is it?

I got the Manchester one, too. Sadly the JFK flights are a codeshare with Delta (no PE, our cabin of choice for East Coast destinations), or you have to fly with VS to Atlanta and change to a domestic with DL, which is £300 more expensive and adds many hours to the journey time. Guess we'll be driving to LHR for now.

I got the Manchester one too, but as it's JFK not EWR, we won't be using it. Like the others, I was surprised that there was mention of LR.
