Significant price difference online vs. over the phone?

We are looking to go to Kansas City in early July for a wedding and as such are more or less fixed with our dates. We are looking to fly VS connecting to a DL flight via Atlanta or Detroit. Finding out about the wedding a few months ago I have kept an eye on prices which have floated around the £6k mark for x4 PE with EC connections. Because of my busy schedule and past experience waiting 25mins on the FC line I haven't yet rung up to see whats available to me.

Just out of interest is it common to find a difference in pricing quotes online vs. over the phone? If so roughly how much difference have you experienced.

If booking direct, the price will be exactly the same online and over the phone.

I almost always book over the phone (usually due to upgrading, or itineraries that require connections) having checked prices online. I've never noticed a discrepancy between prices, they're always the same.

Thanks for the replies. Hmm thats a shame then, prices have been looking notably high over the last few months
