Afternoon all,

Maybe I am being a little dim here, but I am sure I have used it before like this.

I am flying to Washington in April with my family. 4 of us are gold members and flying premium economy. I know I have used the private lane many times before, but I thought the drive-in section could also be used as well, not just for people that fly Upper Class.

Can anyone confirm, or has the Gold membership lost that little luxury as well?

OK, no problem, just sure I used it to SFO last year and only flew PE. I know I used it to Narita in May last year but I did fly UC.

You will be able to use the private security lane but not DTCI.

So after checking in at the VS UC desks you take the lift up one floor and then use the intercom to gain access to the private security channel (which is located at the back of the UC Wing)

You scan your boarding pass using the barcode scanner on the wall next to the Upper Class Wing entrance. It will scan both paper boarding cards or smartphone screens.

Thanks everyone, I have used the Upper Class desks and lift many times before, but because I use Gatwick more often, i just seem to remember using the whole wing last time I was at LHR.

Maybe you bought a Guest List package when you flew from LHR before, pashmore.

I've never done it, but I believe with the Guest List you can use the Upper Class Wing (and CH etc) regardless of cabin or FC status.

The Guest list does offer anyone flying in any cabin DTCI and CH access, however, it's quite pricey as its charged per person so if there a few of you, it soon adds up. VS do now throw in 5000 miles too.

I used this last year when flying Premium Economy to MIA.
