Points for downloading Mile Finder toolbar

Hi all,
I downloaded the Mile Finder toolbar about 5 days ago now and the points are showing as approved but they haven't been credited to the account yet. Does anyone know how long it will take for them to credit? I desperately need 243 more points before I can book some rewards seats so itching for them to post to FC account ASAP!

I saw on HFP that 48 hours was mentioned, but did a quick search on v-flyer and couldn't see any references to how long it took for miles to credit.

If you're desperate, you can 'buy' 1000 points for £15 and £15 handling fee (£30 total). These credit to your account instantly (unless you've already bought your max allowance for the year)

Peter's suggestion might be your best option if time is important, and likely is if you're looking at redemptions. The miles from the Shops Away portal can take up to 60 days I think to post so don't hold you're breath.

Edit: I've just checked and it says 48 hours for the miles funder bonus to post to your account, and I checked my FC account and it was indeed 48 hours.

The annoying thing is that I already spent money on transferring 9000 miles (got my maths wrong), so I was hoping this 250 bonus would post quickly instead of having to transfer another 1000. Doubly annoying is I have lots of miles in the pipeline from flights, shops away and tesco but you know what its like when you are chasing those G's! I may have to bite the bullet and pay the transfer fee and never make the same mistake!

If you'd have to pay the £15 charge, consider the bonus miles option as that is the same price per mile but doesn't attract a charge? If you've got flights in the pipeline you'll be able to claim against those and the miles are credited straight away I think?

I guess you'd have to buy a lot more than you need mind you.

Thanks for your suggestion, unfortunately next flight is 4 weeks away and I'd like to get the reward flights locked down ASAP.

I did raise a claim form for miles and got this reply:

We are sorry that the approved 250 bonus miles have yet credited into your account when they are supposed to be posted within 24 hours. We are currently looking into the issue for you and will inform you once the miles are credited.

Im being patient.....

Extract from an email from Shops Away this morning:

We are advised that the Flying Club is currently encountering some technical issues to have the approved miles credited into member's account. Our technical support team is looking into the urgently. We kindly ask for your patience that the miles will be posted as soon as the issue is resolved. Please accept our apology for any inconvenience caused.

It's April Fools Day. And VS IT........

Ah thanks for that Whiterose. I won't hold my breath then. Luckily the Tesco auto opt in 1000 bonus got credited today so I now have the miles I needed and currently on the phone booking the G's to Hong Kong. YIPPEE!!

If you mean my miles rather than Rabbit's G's, then yes, I finally got them yesterday, after endless emails.

I got the G's!! Got all the way to entering the payment details but then an error message came up but I rang up and the booking was there and they took payment details over the phone.

Just checked my account and miles were credited as of yesterday.
