I thought I would share my thoughts on how good I thought the service was on the VS9 to JFK yesterday.

I was flying in economy but it was nice to see some little touches that weren't there when I flew with VS last time in October, namely hot towels before the meal service and chocolates with the tea and coffee. Not anything ground breaking I know but a nice touch nonetheless.

I think the main thing that made the flight memorable was the crew. Everyone I saw was hardworking and had a ''can do' attitude. One lady who was looking after our section was excellent. She made a real effort to look after a single lady travelling with a small baby and she also looked after a couple in who weren't feeling too well. She said she would get them a bottle of water to take off the plane with them and she made absolutely sure a colleague gave it to them as she was at the back of the plane for landing.

I work with customers myself and I have always believed that sticking to promises and getting the little things right is what matters and they did this in bucket loads yesterday. I have read quite a few times on this forum that its the crew that make or break a flight and this team certainly made it.

I will feed this back to VS too.

Great to hear! Did you like the bottle of water before take off and extra drinks service halfway through the flight too?

It is those little touches that cost next to nothing that make all the difference.
