There is a topic with the extra legrooms seats in each class for the other aircrafts, however i couldn't find anything for the Dreamliner.

I am on the 787 to NY in a few days and wanted to selected an economy seat.
Besides the bulkheads and row 47 which are already taken, is there any other row that offers more legroom/better seat?

Thanks

The VS web site says row 47 ABC / HJK is extra leg room.

I'm AU and flying on the 787's for the first time next week to SFO in economy. One of the gold benefits is that you are meant to be able to reserve an extra leg room seat or a bulk head seat for free and immediately after booking. On 333's, 346's etc. I've been able to reserve extra leg room seats no problem for free. Now on the 787 seat map, both the outbound and inbound seat maps look remarkably similar. That is very empty (no-one paying to reserve) but with all bulkhead and extra leg room seats blocked out appearing they are taken. As the seat maps are almost identical it feels to me like they have been deliberately blocked out. I did call the gold helpline and the agent was very 'woolly' about whether they were taken or blocked out. Either way, she couldn't put me in one of them. Has anyone been able to successfully reserve one of these seats as an AU benefit for free? As there are so few extra leg room seats on the 787 are they withholding them from AU members in the hope they can sell them? Or is my overly suspicious mind running away with itself? Thanks!
