SRB hardly taken by surprise, but wish I was there, it did indeed look great fun :D

Great bit of publicity and fun, but about as spontaneous as the Queen's Speech. :D

Does 'spontaneous' matter? Would you care if you were on board?

I was onboard (still in Detroit). It looked to me as if SRB was surprised which is quite possible, he didn't have to know it was going to happen.

I have to say, this was the best flight I have ever taken and I am very honored and privileged to have been invited.
This is a memory money just cannot buy, and the hospitality in Detroit has been stunning, only Virgin could do it with this much style.
Well off for a cruise along the river now and not looking forward to the long trek home later.

Passengers on a Detroit-bound Virgin Atlantic flight were treated to a spontaneous performance this week

I wonder how many takes it took for the spontaneous performance? ;)

What fun
If you haven't seen it the show is brilliant, saw it on Broadway last May and Stevie Wonder actually played himself for the night we were there - didn't know till the end of the show and the audience was stunned into silence!
It opens at the Shaftsbury Theater in February - already got tickets to take husband to see it this time but don't suppose we will be lucky enough to have Stevie guesting this time!

I was picking up on the term used in the Press Release - sorry, news story - not the nature of the happening for those on board. It would have been excellent fun.

If it was 'spontaneous' then what a coincidence they had so many of the cast of the musical on board. About as spontaneous as one of Frankie Howerds' ad libs.

As for SRB looking awkward. I suspect it was not due to surprise but due to his 'moves' which he clearly learnt at the Barry Manilow School of Dance.

C'mon guys, is nobody playing, I tried to lighten this up with my Motown title references, this should be as easy as "ABC"
