Like Westminster Abbey, or the Pyramids of Giza, some things remain timeless. And so it is with the Escape Lounge here at MAN. It appears to be eternally trapped somewhere in the early 1990s: the decor, the music (early Take That) and - I fear - the sandwiches. Still, beats the melé in departures; and in 2 hours and we'll be on our way to BGI!!

Have a good flight.
We flew Jersey Girl to MCO from LGW in May and can confirm all was working fine in rows 6 & 7 so we are not to blame for anything that isn't today :)

Apparently the tables knackered in 6A, so we've been shifted back to 7. Not that I'm casting any aspersions in your direction, Neil... ;-)

Hopefully you'll be on your way now (with proof that the table in 6A is indeed inoperable and you haven't been shifted for the benefit a tango'd low level celeb from Corrie) so I've missed the chance to say a timely bon voyage. Might as well say an untimely bon voyage, then.

I asked him that very question on FB and, unlike poor Bretty's experience on VS20, the good Doctor Vipond assured us that 6A was indeed inoperable and that there were only 10 souls in UC. No zelebs from Corrie were involved in the change of seats - unless they were the ones responsible for the inoperability in the first place.

Sorry, forgot all about this post.

Yes, 6A was genuinely kernackered, and no, no Zelebs. Great flight (in fact, great holiday; now sadly back in Blighty). Will look at fashioning some sort of trip report soon.

Have a great flight :-D

6A on the LGW 744 config and 12A on the LHR 744 config do seem to be the breakable seats as 12A was also knackered on G-VWOW when I flew to SFO the other week. The table had jammed and by the end of the flight, it wouldn't even fold away without 2 of the crew forcing it back into it's stored position.
