Hello all

So I have been doing some digging and I'm slightly confused....

My OH and I were delayed exactly 24 hours on VS90 on Thursday. When we checked in, we were given a "sorry" leaflet which effectively was a "here's some miles, fill in the form and send it back to claim them". It also says something like "this is supersedes any other compensation" or the like (I am sure some members are familiar with this and I am sure it's the same leaflet VS issue in delay situations).

I'm yet to send in the miles claim. I see that an EU261 claim is €600 per pax - can I claim this in addition to the miles, or if I send the miles claim in, does that preclude me from EU261? Nothing about EU261 was mentioned at check in. Miles are fairly generous at 25k each as we were in UC.

Any advice? Can I get both?

Many thanks in advance.... David

Have a look here at Article 15.

You can't waive your EU261 rights, especially if you advent been informed of them!

It depends on the reason for the 24hr delay if you are covered by EU261 rights though.
