Well finally after 19 years of being a loyal VS customer I have hit 104 TP's, all on VS metal this membership year. I did get to 103 last year but 6 of those were on Delta.

Since my first flight, 1996 on 747-100 Spirit of Sir Freddie I have never flown any other airline to a destination that VS serves.

Let's see if I get anything through the door.....

Congratulations, and let's see indeed!

Very little is known (or at least disclosed publicly) about the criteria required to achieve the holy grail of UNIQ but everything I've read suggests it's not just down to TPs. 100 may be the point at which someone in Crawley starts taking an interest in your account - particularly if they've all been earned on VS metal - but I suspect they'll also consider how you got your points (there's a big difference between 100 x £50 Little Red flights to EDI and 9 x £5k full fare J returns to LAX) and your perceived "worth" to the airline.

Here's hoping the postman brings some good news though!

Just a little update. I never did get anything through the door other than the usual gold renewal with the 80tp upgrade note. I'm a little disappointed if I'm honest.
I did a little tally of my FC account history since I joined in 2001. Total miles (all types) 3,943,093, Base only miles 787,808, Total VS TP's 510, Return trips on VS = 56. 194 of those TP's in the last two years. Never mind theres always next year ;)

All is not lost. The UNIQ programme is not like many airlines operate where your new status kicks in when you hit the required (even if undisclosed) threshold.
It is done annually and pretty much the same time for all those that qualify. I do not believe it is about having 100TP at the time of invitation - rather the historical 'meeting of the criteria'.
Just getting to 100TP once in a while probably will not do it. I do think it better to be open about qualifying criteria as - if you do not know there is 'something more' you could easily lose interest after 40TP.

You are of course correct, the only downside being that by the time the new year for UNIQ starts, he may have less points than he has now!
It is not the number of tier points that gets you in to UNIQ, it is whether you are in their top 200 customers. A guideline used to be over 100 points, but it is probably higher these days, based on my experience.
