Last Nov we flew UC out/PE back to BGI as we got a good upgrade price from VH. This year in May I flew UC and PE back using my points, and now I've just booked PE out/UC back for our holiday next May using points and a CC EC to PE voucher.......going EC again is going to be difficult after this!

I'm out of points now, so will have to start saving. Not looking like I will get another work trip to JNB, which is a shame, and with LR going any work trips to MAN won't be Virgin.... :-(

This booking started as EC/PE and then got upgraded to EC/UC and them finally when PE seats became available today PE/UC. Won't be going UC both ways as used EC->PE CC upgrade voucher outbound

You have Oikonomiaphobia, it's quite common especially by the members on these boards. Welcome to the club.
Sadly there is no cure other than avoiding the dreaded economy cabin.
You just have to work harder at collecting points.
