Just do a dummy booking on the Virgin Atlantic site and you will see it's a mixture of both.
I think peak season there are two non stop Virgin flights from Heathrow, one at 9,30 and one at 11.30
Off season, just the one at 9.30
You will also see some operated by Delta. Their business supposedly equates to Virgin Upper, but I've never been on it so can't comment.

I flew to the US and back in just the last couple of weeks.

Their Business Class is called 'Delta One' (formerly 'Business Elite') and is certainly not awful.

TRs with pics to come but I had excellent flights on DL with comfy seats, good food, drink, IFE and crew. Even the amenity kits are good (and better than VS!)

But here is a teaser of the appetizer on the LHR-MSP leg

Certainly isn't awful. I had that exact appetiser on my DL flight from LHR-LAX in January. Had a great time onboard and the amenity kit blows the VS one out of the water! Can't wait to see your TRs TB.
