Lots of ways to rack them up quickly.
Clubcard and club card plus, their visa card, tesco mobile, Eon, Esso fuel, topcashback, plus they usually have pre order offers for games/dvds etc and things like Lego often have additional points on. If you don't already, perhaps subscribe to Head For Points.
As for the next transfer bonus. I can almost guarantee it will be the day after I tip my points over!

I change my Tesco points to Avios as I get 800 Avios per 250 Clubcard points which is just too good to decline, the normal exchange rate now being 600 Avious per 250 points. This is because my Clubcard acount is ancient (which rather negates my firsy statement I realise) and I keep the original exchage rate from 1891 or whenever it wa.
