So returning to England today after 3 weeks in BIM ;-(

Enjoyable trip mostly apart from the nightmare in laws

Travelling on own as rest of family are coming back tommorow. Flights at 17.45 and gate closes at 17.15

Nothing much to do at BGI so what do you think the latest I can leave it to get to the airport to maximise beach time

Also as a side note, does anybody know if there is Premuim seating on the Thompson flights (Dreamliner) that go to Barbados (although next trip likely to be BA as totally rinsed my Virgin miles now, better to spend than get them devalued)

The last week we have been South Coast so not too far to the Airport.

Difficult to say as some days the queue at security/immigration is horrendous and some days it is OK. I usually get there pretty early as I like to do a bit of shopping. we used to check in then go over the road to Frankies for a couple of Banks, but the immigration queues and the burning down of Frankies put paid to that.

That is definitely a good idea. Maybe they should make the lounge into one! (not used it yet, as usually fly back PE, but are flying UC next May)

Seems you made it through with plenty of time - it can be hell, it can be very quick. There isn't really a definitive answer on how late you can leave it, because like most things Caribbean, it's not an exact science!
