swift ride in the tristar limo from central london, then a traffic jam at the LHR entry road, a couple of other cars were dropping off as i reached DTCI but no delay, short queue at security, got through with shoes on, about an hour after leaving home

took a seat in the CH gallery, bubbly and breakfast were with me very quickly, food could have been a bit warmer, bubbly just right, now on my second glass

T3 is pretty crowded, lot of DL pax at DTCI and in the CH, but two VS and one DL flight have been called and it's much quieter now

about 90 minutes until my flight is called, of to IAD for a weeklong company bash, see how may slides humans can be shown before they crack, i'm presenting too but intend making it interactive as possible, though i must resist the urge to channel malcolm tucker :-D

Have a great flight. Hope it makes up for a week of people whose presentations are straightforwardly a word for word recitation of what the audience sees on their slides. Put up a picture of a duck and then improvise...

For the briefest moment I imagined "slides" as being the kind in a kid's playground, and wondering how long it would take for a group of adults to crack and play on them. Got me thinking "What kind of company bash is this?!"

Have a great flight and I hope all goes to plan on your business trip.

I'm looking forward to my next CH visit in just under 3 weeks time, flying to DXB at 9pm, so hopefully not too crowded at that time.

Enjoy DC! We were in the CH yesterday afternoon; absolutely empty. They delayed the VS11 by 40 minutes so thought I'd try my first ever CH chop. No queue there either with myself and OH both getting treatment straight away. They did say 15:00-18:00 is the best time to guarantee a treatment.
