Morning lovely Vflyers!

Heading off to Atlanta to start with..

Wonderful check in as always here at Manchester. Lots of smiles and really seamless. asked if I would like to be escorted through security (I declined but appreciated the offer)....security was hellish but it is a bank holiday, though the priority lane really helped to reduce the time spent in the queue.

First time in the Escape lounge here since it reopened earlier this month following the refurb. Quite impressed. Exactly the same theme as the Escape lounges in T1 and T3. Welcomed warmly at the desk.

The buffet consists of French pastries, cereals, yoghurts, muffins and toast. You can also order from the kitchen (complimentary) which includes porridge, bacon or sausage baps and soft boiled eggs with soldiers.

You can also order items from the a la carte menu (all items £4.95) such as a full English breakfast, smoked salmon and scrambled egg, Eggs benedict and pancakes.

The serving staff are friendly(ish). It's a staffed bar (like the other Escape lounges at MAN) and some people are seriously knocking back the vodka! Not me though as I have an Elderflower Collins or two waiting for me on board!

Have a great weekend everyone and happy travels.

Good to hear the refurbished lounge is an improvement. Have a great flight & enjoy Florida - I'm trying to get over there in the next two and a bit weeks for Mako, but unsure if it will happen.

Enjoy the Sunshine State!

Thanks everyone for your kind messages.

Had a wonderful flight with a great FSM and a super CC team in UC. Superb service from start to finish.

Superb team work onboard and genuine feel of everyone loving their jobs (they were down to 9 CC and a full flight) we left an hour late as a family of 8 had to be offloaded due to one of them being very sick on the aircraft before pushback.

Not sure how widely it has been reported but we also passed on the way to the runway the incident yesterday at MAN involving a tug and an aircraft which was blocking one of the taxiways.

I'll post a TR in the next few days (not as quick as David....) but for now a couple of photos...
