Lucky enough to find a couple of Gs for exactly the date we wanted to get to Miami to join our cruise.

Can we use DTCI on G fares? Hoping so 'cos although we always fly UC, we have never done it.

I am on Gs for my flight to ORD on Friday :D

I will be using DTCI !!

Could someone confirm opening times of the DTCI as I want to make full use of the CH as our flight is at 9.20am. Planning on using UBER or Addison Lee to get from Premier Inn (on Bath Road)

DTCI officially opens at 6.30 but have turned up at 6 a number of times when there was no traffic on M25. Had to wait for security to open, not the worst place in the world to sit and wait!

Can I ask another question loosely connected?

I booked the G fares(2) using my miles. Now I don't have enough left to buy the CDC but my husband (the other passenger) does. Can we use his miles?

My idea was we could drive to Southampton, because that's where our cruise ends, leave the car there at the hotel, stay overnight and get picked up early next morning by CDC for the journey to LHR. Mileage is ok. He also has enough miles to get us a car from MIA to a Fort Lauderdale beach hotel, ready for our cruise next day, which would save us an expensive cab.

Would this all be acceptable?

Technically the rules say:

"Members must be redeeming Flying Club Miles for their Upper Class reward ticket in order to be able to redeem Flying Club Miles for a chauffeur-driven car transfer."

Which is a bit ambiguous. I can't see why they'd have a problem - give them a call.
