Please Help: Regarding Upgrades.

Hi all,

I've managed to book G's using purely miles (plus taxes and fees). The outbound is Upper and inbound is Premium. Would I be able to upgrade the inbound using just miles should a pair of Uppers becomes available?

You certainly can. There will be a slight diff in taxes/surcharges to pay too.

If both legs are booked with miles, as Joey says, yes.

Slipping into pedant mode for a moment, the "G" fare code is applicable to the upper class portion only, so the outbound leg as it currently stands. If the inbound is currently a premium economy reward booking using miles then it will (I think) be a "P" code ticket until such time as you manage to upgrade.

There are a few of us here a bit obsessive about getting those elusive G's
If it were me I'd be checking at least 4 times a day because they can disappear very quickly once released.
