Hi,

Looking for a quick break in the US and chasing down VA flights to build some points in the vane hope of retaining my gold card.

1) If i book flights for family, is it possible to pool those tier points and miles?
2) I think i am right in saying access to the clubhouse is +1 only.
3) If it is only +1 for CH access, how do you go about admitting 2 others (children, 1 with a disability who could really do with the calm)
4) If you are travelling on an indirect flight to final destination, can you make use of the lounges while awaiting the 2nd leg (thinking ATL, DTW etc)

Thanks in advance...

1) Sadly not. Unlike BA, VS doesn't offer a family account.
2) Correct.
3) Officially not possible but if it's not too busy and you get a nice receptionist you may get lucky. Although +3 may be pushing it.
4) Yes, that is a Gold benefit as long as the connecting Delta flight is on the same day as the VS flight.

Actually if you are gold then VS do operate a sort of family account - check the AU benefits page - but it depends on the age of the children.

even with BA each person still needs to have ther own account they are linked in the HHA account. Miles are NOT dropped into your personal account but are pooled when used.

correct. Even with BA you only get the TPs you personally earn.

thanks all...

Actually discovered a nice bug on the flight booking page of VA yesterday that ahen playing about with different flight options on a single route rather than adjust the miles/TP accrued them to the first query you ran. At one point on a LGW-LAS, I was told I could earn 62k miles and 43TP....IF ONLY :)
