Possible to use AMEX PE upgrades one way?

Hi all!

Looking to book a trip to Miami via NYC in December. There's availability on the outbound in E and PE so I was hoping to use my two PE upgrades from my AMEX. However, there's nothing on the way back. Question is, will VS allow me to use these vouchers for one way? I know it's probably not ideal but this might be my only time to redeem them!

Yes! You can split the AMEX vouchers into 2x 1 way vouchers... And don't forget, there only needs to be PE availability in the reward seats to use them (if there is 0 economy availability, you can still use!)

I've got vouchers due in October, if i was to book PE reward tickets now does anyone know if i would be able to apply the vouchers in Octobere and get the difference between EC and PE refunded back to my FC acct?

Interesting. I tried to book a PE reward upgrade outbound and a paid flight return and was told by VS reservations that it wasn't allowed, that you could only use the upgrade vouchers with reward flights in both directions. Was I told something incorrect? If so I will be really annoyed because the paid-for flight cost was really expensive for the dates I originally wanted and I ended up changing my dates to get a cheaper flight (plus of course I lost out on a PE seat)
