Yes, unfortunately I stayed there for 2 weeks last September.
A couple of the ala carte restaurants were worth visiting, the buffet restaurant reminded me of a 1970s school dining hall with plastic chairs and tables, the staff were surly and uninterested in the guests.
This year I went back to my favourite hotel the Royal Decameron in Montego Bay and pleased I did.
I would recommend the Riu hotels, I've stayed in many all around the Caribbean and always been happy with them.

Hi

Yes we stayed there a few years ago - thought we were getting a bargain.

Its pretty much as bombardier describes, I wouldn't of been so nice about it.

I was miserable the whole time I was there - ALOT of booze in the adult only pool helped :)

The only good thing that came out of it - as I was so sad, hubby surprised me by taking us for 2 days at Sandals Royal Caribbean, he told me we were going just for the day, we have stayed at Sandals property's ever since. We go every October , 23 days and counting.

This is my own honest opinion , some people may love it and go back every year as its what they look for in a holiday and hotel.

If there's anything you need to know about Jamaica PM me.
I've been visiting the Island for many years and know most things about the place, obviously the things I don't know I'll probably make up.
My last trip in May is to be my last for a while, the Island seems to have lost its appeal, although the Jamaicans are among the friendliest people in the Caribbean there seems to be far to many now who don't want to take no for an answer.
I've decided to reacquaint myself with Barbados next year.
