Using PE upgrade vouchers after booking?

Hi all,

Quick questions about the Amex upgrade vouchers. I have 2 which expire in March (posted to my account last March).

I’m looking at flights to LAX but currently there’s only Economy available for dates in March. Am I able to book a Economy rewards flight and then upgrade, should PE become available at a later date? Obviously paying the difference in taxes etc. Or does the voucher have to be used at the point of booking?

You can use the vouchers to upgrade at a later date, if PE seats become available.
