Hi from a newbie, although a very long time lurker. We are flying out to Dubai on VS400 at the end of July and wondered if anyone can shed some light on what the menu is at present. My wife is a vegetarian but also doesn't eat spicy food (curries etc) so was wondering what the veg option is on the standard menu. Or should she order a Vegetarian meal before flying? Any help would be very much appreciated.

It's fairly safe to say there will be no pork or alcohol in any meal served on this flight. Other products that offend Muslim customers (like bovine, which is in gelatine) will be absent too.

TBH, the best breakfast I have had on a VS flight was the turkey sausage cob an hour out of Dubai. It smashed the pork variant out of the water big-time.

Pork does indeed tend to be absent, however my last flight to DXB in PE/Upper had the usual wine/after dinner drinks as you would expect with any other destination. It is not a dry route.

I think Kraken was referring to alcohol in the food, rather than the bar service. So no beef in red wine sauce, for example (if indeed they ever serve that).

Oh yes I see - I misread. Sorry.
