Hello. I'm certain this has been asked before but I'm not finding much through the search function so I apologize if this has been asked and answered already.
Booking a PE return flight from PHL to LHR with a connection in ATL. PHL to ATL is on Delta metal (duh) and the fare code is "R". How many tier points would I earn on that sector? I believe VS gives 50 tier points for such a fare code but I can't imagine that's the same for DL metal. I assume it would be 10 but I can't find anything that addresses my specific scenario. FWIW, I'd be "S" on VS metal.
EDIT: To add more confusion, what if the fare code is "S" for the PHL to ATL leg? Since there's no PE on that plane would VS give me 100 TPs? This would be booked as a VS ticket, not Delta.
