Wave from the clubhouse virgins

After a typically sleepless pre-holiday night, we are are starting off our honeymoon in California in style!

Can't believe we booked so long ago at T-330 the day after we got engaged, using the miles it took us so long to save up, and it's finally here. In almost 40 years I've never flown long haul in anything other than economy so we are determined to make the most of it.

Already had my first ever facial and a few expresso martinis. Really busy now but drink service is good, and we got here early enough to get a good spot.

I'm assuming the Eames chairs are authentic? Annoyingly some people are using them as a £5k bag holder

Enjoy yourselves in the CH …. the luxury awaits on board too so hope you get a great flight crew to make the whole experience extra special.

Pity there's a DYKWIA type in the CH dumping their baggage on the furniture - hope they're not on your flight making a fuss there too.

Thank you, have to say the staff are excellent. Drinks are being topped up before we finish and one lady has promised to come back dead on midday so we can order gyōzas off the lunch menu just before our flight is called.
