Been many years since I last booked a reward flight and just wondering if you can still 'hold' the outward flight until the return gets released. We did this when we last flew LA Upper - On the day of release Virgin held the outward flight until the return was released and then we booked.

We are now looking for Man to Orlando in Sept 2019 and our dates are set and are wanting to get PE reward flights.

Thanks in advance x

But surely, there’s no guarantee there will actually be reward seats released? I have been hoping for some HKG seats on March 2nd. I booked March 1st the day they were released - March 2nd still noth8ng - since April!

VS will only hold reward seats for 72hrs, and be aware if you book a one way reward, and then book the other one way when and if it becomes available, the taxes will be higher than booking a return.

Except when booking HKG as homeward the single return taxes are much cheaper - you save approx £80 if booked as two singles. There may be other examples out there....
