There is some speculation that this could be the new Virgin Red / new Virgin loyalty program.

Also, just putting 2 and 2 together here, but aren't there approx 9 Virgin brands that the Virgin Red app generally covers where you can 'spend or earn' loyalty:

1. Atlantic
2. Holidays
3. Trains
4. Media
5. Games
6. Active
7. Wine
8. Money
9. Balloon Flights

??

Virgin Atlantic released an album in 2010 called Cloud 9.

Ethiopian Airlines call their business class cabin Cloud 9.

The speculation mitchja mentions sounds most sensible.

It prompted me to check my miles and I noticed I haven't had any from Virgin Wines.
I then checked the Virgin Wine site and my old Virgin Flying Club number was still linked.
I thought they all got changed automatically but obviously not.
Does anyone know the date they changed the flying club numbers?
I only spend £20 a month on Wine Bank but over a couple of years it's a few missing miles. It would be nice if I could get them back.

Funny thing is that I don't seem to have ever got any miles from winebank and I've been with them since 2015.
I've sent emails so maybe I'll get something.
Must link my Virgin Mobile as well. That's a massive £17 a month now.

There is currently no link between Virgin Mobile / Virgin Media and Flying Club.

That *should* change though once Virgin launch this new loyalty program.

It would be just my luck for Virgin Mobile to be included. After years with them I have just jumped ship and gone to Three!
They have much better overseas roaming, in Australia at present and can call home and use data as if in the UK, however if I phone for a pizza from across the street it is classed as an international call! So strange?

You should check out Vodafone with Global Roaming Plus next time you renew

EE also offers included roaming in the US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Mexico as well on all their Max plans.

Not sure about Voda, but certainly with EE, all calls and texts are included in your allowances when roaming i.e. both international and local landlines + mobiles as well.

I think it depends on your plan. I'm with EE and I'll need to check the small print, but I'm sure on mine international roaming being included in my call/text/data allowance only extends to the EU (this pre-dates the relevant legislation that abolised EU roaming charges by a matter of months), but even that depends on what they define as "EU" as Isle of Man is also included as "EU".

As for the changes, if this is the new loyalty scheme across various Virgin brands I hope this doesn't devalue the miles I've already accrued and result in more miles needing to be spent for redemption (either in whole or as part-payment with cash).

Not only don't I get any points for my mobile, but just got a reply from Virgin Winebank;

"I apologise for the confusion, as you are a member of the WineBank you are not eligible to receive flying club points. This is because you sadly can no benefit from each club as the WineBank gives you free delivery and 20% interest."

He ho. At least I'm on cloud seven.

I'm sure there was a thread a couple of months ago about something like this and changes to the Virgin loyalty app and there was some speculation about how this would affect flying club and if would mean more people earning miles and affecting the ability to get reward seats etc

Just this morning Mrs _F had her medical hat on, peer reviewing a paper on coconut water as a substitute for intravenous fluid. Apparently the idea isn't new but the approach was.

As a mere 'bit twiddler' (computer scientist) it stands to reason that any cocktail that contains coconut water must therefore replenish fluid rather then deplete it. It should therefore be safe enough to consume an infinite amount of said cocktail! I'll update you on my findings next time we fly...

Yeh me too. Also the cocktail recipes a (and I think a video) have been up for over a year, certainly for the redhead anyway.

my comment about coconut water wasn't about the cocktails but from the 'insider tips' section at the bottom!
