Good afternoon from LAX!
I had more time than I normally do today, so figured i'd do a quick review of the Delta Sky Club here.
VS Gold's can use any Delta Sky Club as long as they have a transatlantic flight on the same day. Technically, I was on the direct VS flight, but I could still get access. Purely for the sake of this review and after I gathered some data, I was back at the Clubhouse, sharpish.
Not all DL Agents are used to the VS Gold's rule and they have no way of knowing you have access with your boarding pass alone, so you need to show a physical Gold card that has a valid date on it. Even then, they take the FC number and look it up on their system. I explained how it works to the agent, she was new to this so was probably overly diligent, but I've had similar exchanges in other Sky Clubs.
The reason you may want to consider this lounge is if you are flying from LAX to LHR via say, ATL, SEA, JFK etc as some of those flights will be departing at times when the VS Clubhouse is closed. When it's closed, it operates as a priority pass lounge with limited service.
The lounge is opposite the VS Clubhouse. When you come out of security, walk straight ahead and you'll see some illuminated stairs straight ahead. Go up there and the VS Clubhouse is to the left and the Sky Club to the right.

The lounge is bright and has plenty of seating. It wasn't too busy today but almost every seat has AC power and USB power right next to it.

There are two self service bars. No waiter service. But there are staff going around collecting trash. Plenty of options for alcohol and soft drinks, tea & coffee etc.

I couldn't get on the wifi to test that unfortunately.
Food wise theres plenty of nibbles & snacks. I rate this place better than other Sky Club's i've been to. Theres a salad bar that also had a hot food option - some kind of tomato salad today. The offering was significantly better than the SEA Sky Club IMO.

There are ample showers and toilets. When it's busy, I believe the showers can have a queue, but it's a nice addition to have.
Overall a decent lounge that i'd definitely visit if I couldn't use the VS Clubhouse.
Right, back to enjoying the VS offering. All this lounge reviewing brings good karma, as I scored an airport upgrade to Upper using miles. Courtesy of this being a 346 flight I suspect.
Commander B, out.
