Wave from JFK

Sitting in Delta lounge as Virgin Clubhouse is closed. The airport is like a ghost town with the majority of the shops closed. Flew up from Fort Myers on a Delta A319 which was only half loaded. Checked the passengers when the aircraft arrived from Boston and only 24 came off. On tonight's VS4 and then having to hire car and drive back to Wirral but at least we will be back in England. Should have been on tonight's VS128 but it was cancelled.

Thanks. Had the usual great time in Naples but having to go home 2 weeks early is a pain. Hey ho hopefully we will be able to go again next year. Health and VS willing

Arrived home safely yesterday afternoon. Flight was fine Upper was about 80% full. Landed 30 mins and Immigration was deserted. Picked up car from Enterprise and drove out at 7.15am. Roads weren't too bad except for a 30 min delay for an accident on M40. Reading today's blog I'm just thankful we took initiative and rang VS. Don't know whether car costs can be recovered but a small price to pay to be home.

FSM on flight was really lovely and we chatted a few times. I feel so sorry for all the crew as this was their last flight before 2 month lay off without pay. One of the ladies we going to try for temporary work stacking supermarket shelves.
