Flying Club Status extension - still 6 months?

Hi - any update on VS Flying Club status extension - Is it still just 6 months renewal deadline extension?

Many airlines are giving you are full year - sort of "Let's forget about 2020" which seems fair.

If VS sticks to 6 months, and push 90% of their FC back to Silver, then they'll see a big reduction in customer loyalty in return.

I'm a regular flyer, 9 years gold, but can't see myself getting on a plane (or being allowed to) till there's a vaccine towards the end of this year. Apart from my own health, my clients don't want me there, and I would need to quarantine anyways. I'd love to resume, but little can happen till 2021.

Yes at the moment, it’s still only 6 months so far.

I agree though that it should really be extended the longer this all goes on for.

Do remember though that BA only announced their 12 month extension a week or so ago which meant many BA flyers have already dropped status through no fault of their own. At least VS where proactive from the word go and quickly announced their status extension (albeit shorter).

There is going to be a big schedule change / further flying restarting announcement though this weekend from VS so that *may* included a FC status extension possibly?
