Free COVID-19 cover with VS tickets announced

But it look like VS are partnering with an insurance provider to supplement your usual travel insurance (that now won't cover COVID) to encourage people to still take trips. Cover runs to 31st March 2021.

Seems to be fairly extensive additional coverage judging by my quick read.

I have to admit, its clear they want people travelling again, but this is a nice little addition on top of the FC changes.

So they are marketing this as a bolt on to your existing policy, but I wonder how that sits with the FCO‘S advice against all but essential travel which in most circumstances voids the original policy unless of course the country is on the FCO safe list.

It's frustrating it doesn't cover Easter school holidays next year. This is the perfect time to book for me and with the cover in place I'd have felt reassured and booked once the high court restructuring was approved. Without it I'll inevitability wait it out a bit longer.
