Does anybody know what’s going on with the VS221/222 turns this week, and specifically G-VRAY that seems to have been primarily working this route in recent weeks?
We were supposed to fly on VS221 on Sunday, but as G-VRAY went tech down route on Friday and was AOG for 48hrs, it was cancelled and we ended up being rebooked onto BA out of LGW (TR to follow next week). There was a rescue flight operated on Saturday with another A330 to fly those stranded as a result of VS222 being cancelled. This morning, I noticed VS221 has been cancelled again and it seems G-VRAY hasn’t operated any flights this morning, so that will also surely mean VS222 is cancelled tonight.
We’re due to fly back on VS222 on Sunday which is the last day the route operates before it’s suspended for the summer months. I’m already half-expecting this to be cancelled and re-booked onto BA again if VS are a bit short of aircraft right now.
