Hi all

Hoping someone can help me with this, as the Virgin Atlantic helpline hasn't been that helpful.

I have 4 x Select Vouchers (O class) in Economy which were compensation for voluntary offboarding on a previous flight. I have redeemed these for 4 x Economy return for a flight in early 2025. I also have 2 x Credit Card upgrade reward vouchers. Can the Credit Card vouchers be used to upgrade to Premium? I have done it before with a points fare - 2 x vouchers = Economy to Premium upgrade for all 4 of us.

A rep on the Virgin Atlantic webchat said it is only possible to upgrade using points, then changed to say only if had paid in money, and finally seemed to say it might worked within 48 hours of travel. So I'm a bit confused. Appreciate the combination might be quite rare, but wondering if anyone has any experience?

Andy

Hi Andy,

I have had a similar issue last week when booking a flight with a Select Voucher for Premium that I was issued after accepting a downgrade.

I booked a companion flight for my wife using a Virgin credit card voucher. I upgraded this using points but was told it was not possible to use points to affect my flight booked using the Select Voucher.

Hoping you can manage to get an upgrade within 48 hours of the flight, as I'll try before my flight in January.

Mark
