Hi, having found out for myself that Expert Flyer no longer has VS seat alerts, I wonder what people are using to get an alert for miles seat availability?
Reward Seat Finder seems a bit of a waste of time, as its 99% BA centered? Is there any other option out there, besides manually checking every day?

Looking for Xmas availability, JFK>LHR, (3 Ec seats) and there's nothing at all out there, even for a Au-for-lifer. I would spring for UC if really had to, but... nada.
I can wait if needed, silly me not booking in Springtime, when I saw open seats.

(BA has quite a bit open, its just VS who are being stingy!)

Thanks for that. I've subscribed for a trial 14days, so lets see. If I need to pay for the year, then so be it.

Yes I see availability (for 3) prior to 20th, but can't leave till 20th night at earliest. Dec 21/22/23rd anytime all good.

Fingers crossed!

Seatspy is great, but with one word of caution!

Recently I didn't receive any notification that my subscription was ending or invitation to renew, so I thought that my alert was still in place only to realise after some time that it wasn't. Luckily I managed to get the seat that I was looking for, but it is worth making a note of your subscription dates just in case!

Seatspy has generally been great, but there have been 3 occasions when their data has been incorrect, I did log it with them and they are investigating.

Twice it said there was availability and there wasn't, & once it said no availability and there was over a dozen seats available and I almost missed the seats. Luckily I manually checked and got them.

Part of their USP they say is instant alerts which didn't work !
