LHR DTCI family drop off

Hello,

I actually don't use LHR all that often, but I have an upcoming trip with the family.

We (2 adults, 2 kids) will be driving to LHR, arriving about 1pm. The kids are pretty young, so I would like to drive up to the wing and drop off my wife and the 2 kids with all the luggage. Then drive out to the meet and greet and walk back to meet them at the wing and go through security. Will this be possible? Will I be able to get my boarding pass while I'm dropping off at the wing so I can enter again when I come back from the carpark?

Absolutely you can.
I’ve done just that a couple of times.
Once through the barrier at the wing entrance drive up the ramp and pass the glitter ball.
The lovely VS staff will
Meet you as you drive to the check in area.
Unload bags.
Hand over passports
Get boarding passes… keep hold of yours.
Wife and kids settle in the comfy chairs whilst you take the car back down the ramp and meet n greet.
(Staff might ask your family to go through security if it gets busy though).
Once car dropped off, walk through downstairs check in area and take the magic lift up to the wing.(You can’t walk back up the ramp!!)
Scan boarding pass to open the door into the wing Meet the family and go through dedicated security lane.
