Hi Everyone,

I have just booked a trip for 2 to Dubai in Feb 25 and have approx 85,000 points and 2 x Reward Vouchers (through VA credit card.)

Our hotels are booked and fixed so the dates cant change - But we looked at booking Economy on the way out and PE on the way home. My own fault for not booking there and then but 2 days later I went to book and was told there was no PE reward seats left, so economy it will be.

The flight is still relatively empty and was wondering if anyone had any economy seat recommendations for the A330neo. I was looking at the very back row (68) so that we can recline the seats (overnight flight) and not bother anyone - but am worried that due to the galley behind they might have limited recline - Can anyone advise?

Second to this - Have I completely missed the boat now with being able to upgrade to PE? I know that VA are bringing in a new system at the end of Oct but am worried the prices will just shoot up as well and I should have just stuck with my (relatively cheap) £580 return total for 2 people.

Would really appreciate any help :)

If you’re set on flying in Economy, I’d go for the Economy Delight seats. The extra few inches of legroom makes all the difference compared to the normal Y seats used by Economy Classic and Light.

I was looking for PE but it seems there's no reward seats left for the flight and the cost of UC for cash only was over £8000 for 2 of us.

There isn't ever an option for me to choose Economy Delight with my points/vouchers it only ever lets me select Economy Classic.

It might be a case that all the Delight seats on your flight are taken, though I suggest doing a dummy booking to see whether that's the case, or even give VS a call.

If all else fails, you could try at the airport on the day to see whether there's availability.
