CC Voucher & Silver Status Expiry

Hi everyone,

I have a credit card voucher that’s valid until May 2026. Right now, as a silver member, I understand the voucher is worth up to 150k points, but I’m set to lose my silver status in April 2025, which means its value will drop to 75k points after that?

I don’t think I’ll be able to lock in specific travel dates before my status expires, so I’m wondering: If I book a trip using the voucher now while I’m still silver, but later need to change the dates or times after my status drops - will the voucher still have retained its 150k value, or would I need to pay an additional 75k points to cover the difference?

Would really appreciate any insights. Thanks in advance!

The voucher value based on your FC status only applies at the time of redemption, from the FC T&C’s found here in section 5.4 :

If you move between tiers, the voucher value will reflect your status at the time of redemption. If you gift a voucher to another Flying Club member, the terms of section 5.7 will apply.
