Huge difference between reward seat finder and actual points

Been using the reward seat finder to find some decent points dates for a flight in November https://www.virginatlantic.com/reward-flight-finder/results/month?origin=LHR&destination=DXB&month=11&year=2025 however whenever I go to book the actual flight, the points are completely different to what's shown on their own checker.

It's not just one day either, so far I've been unable to find any of the PE points prices shown on the seat finder page.

How do I reliably find the actual points cost?

I note that SeatSpy also displays the unrealistically low numbers - none of which actually exist it seems!

What am I missing here?

There is a lag between reward seat checker and when you go to book.
Sometimes it only updates every few hours or the next day in once case I was keeping my eye on.
