One Way Flight to USA Rules

We are due to travel next month to Orlando, we are then taking a transatlantic cruise back to the UK. Checked my booking yesterday and it comes up with a notice stating that my destination requires a return ticket and check with staff at the airport. Is this a new thing? We have done this many times in the past with no issues. Do we just show them our cruise booking on arrival at the airport?
