I'm travelling UC SFO-LHR on VS42 with a 2120 departure next month. Whilst I'm not expecting something of the same quality as the LHR Clubhouse, is the SFO lounge good enough to have my evening meal there and spend my airport time in. Or should I eat elsewhere before checking in and, potentially, reduce the amount of time I spend in the lounge. If it helps for reference purposes I have also used the clubhouse at JFK and the lounge at MCO.
TIA

Edit: I incorrectly said I had used the clubhouse at LAX when I meant JFK, can only think that it is because the outbound leg of my next trip is to LAX

Welcome to V:Flyer :)

As the lounge at SFO is a proper VS Clubhouse, they offer a waited/table service with the usual high standard of food and drinks all VS Clubhouses offer.

Whilst the SFO Clubhouse is smaller than the LHR one, it's always been a very well managed and highly regarded VS Clubhouse. There are showers as well if required.

More details (including current menus) can be found here.

You can eat at one of the many seats located around the lounge or use the proper; all-be-it small dining table area.

One point of reference; Air France have their own lounge at SFO, however, they send their La Premiere (First Class) passengers to the VS Clubhouse (or at least they used to)!

Thanks for the reassurance, sounds like there's no need to find alternative arrangements
